When I came to the University of Texas at Austin, one of my biggest fears was that I would lose my contact with God. I was raised in a Christian home, so I wanted to continue seeking the Lord and grow in my relationship with Him in college. I am thankful to the Lord that some friends put me in contact with Christians on Campus.
I never thought that I would find a group of college students who are so dedicated to pursuing the Lord. Their love for God and care for each other rubbed off on me, and I began to love the Lord more and care for other Christians more than before. I used to be shy about speaking the Gospel to people. But after attending the Bible studies and small group meetings week after week, I was so full of God's life and light that I couldn't help but share Him with others. I knew that some of my Christian and non-Christian friends from high school were having a hard time adjusting to college, so I began to share my experiences of Christ with them through e-mail. This fellowship opened a lot of doors in the hearts of my friends.
The students of Christians on Campus have been an abundant supply to me during my years at UT. I pray that the Lord will always keep me attached to those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart (2 Tim. 2:22).
